If you've got a tough job to do, you've got to be wearing the right gear.
Service members of each branch have unique uniforms, but there's a common element between each: boots. They're what you put on when you've got some heavy lifting to do, need to get over rough terrain and keep our country safe.
With that in mind, the Boot Campaign gives service members and civilians alike the chance to "put their boots on" as a way of honoring the men and women of the armed forces.
The Boot Campaign "provides an easy and tangible way for Americans to show appreciation for troops, cultivate awareness of the challenges they face upon return and raise funds for military programs meeting the physical and emotional needs of our heroes."
The Boot Campaign is centered around promoting patriotism, cultivating awareness of veterans issues and providing assistance to service members and their families after returning from war.
