These people make buying a home as a veteran so simple and easy.If I had to do this process again, I would want this team and company to bat for me again.
Veterans United made the home buying process so smooth and I feel so lucky to have a Team like Miguel's! While the process of buying a house can be stressful, they were responsive, communicative, and extremely helpful the entire time. I would definitely recommend!
Always great and simple and very helpful.
In a time in history and country where daily news shows only constant turmoil and death seemingly to be near imploding in America, Veterans United and its team member hold that torch of hope lighting the way and helping those that sacrificed so much overseas only to return to face battling for already deserved and earned benefits. VU is the real deal!!God Bless Veterans United!!Semper FiAndrew Westbrook
Andy Strubel and Jack Thornburg were both great to work with throughout my home loan process. Andy was very communicative and promised a smooth close and delivered on it. Jack made sure everything stayed organized and on track behind the scenes. The entire process was smooth from start to finish, and I really appreciated their clear communication and support every step of the way.
You did not honor my 100 disability on taxed exemption. I would have never purchased this house if I knew I was gonna run into this problem.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Emmanuel,
Hearing that you feel your 100 percent disability tax exemption was not honored is incredibly concerning. I can understand how upsetting it would be to believe you were eligible for a benefit and then face an unexpected issue after purchasing your home. That kind of surprise can feel overwhelming, especially when it impacts your long term financial planning.
Property tax exemptions for disabled Veterans are typically handled at the state or county level after closing, and the requirements and timelines can vary depending on location. That said, you should have felt fully informed about how that process works and what to expect. If anything was unclear or miscommunicated, I want to understand why.
Please reach out to me directly at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com so I can review your situation in detail. We’re available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday, and we’ll respond the next business day to messages received after hours. I’d appreciate the opportunity to walk through this with you.

They made the process super easy and simple, my lender Seth went above and beyond during a hiccup we had. He’s amazing definitely recommend using Veterans United
Dear Team at Veterans United,
I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone at for the outstanding support and professionalism throughout my homebuying journey.
As a veteran purchasing my first home, this milestone means more to me than I can fully put into words. The process could have easily felt overwhelming, but your team made it smooth, organized, and reassuring every step of the way.
I especially want to recognize for his exceptional work as my loan officer. Reed’s communication, attention to detail, and steady guidance gave me complete confidence throughout the entire process. He went above and beyond to ensure everything stayed on track, and his dedication truly made the difference.
Because of your team’s hard work, my dogs are now enjoying a large fenced backyard, and I’m settling into a home I’m incredibly proud of. This is a major life milestone for me, and I’m deeply grateful for the role you played in making it happen.
Thank you again for your service to veterans like me and for making this experience such a positive one.
With sincere appreciation,
Jonas Penrose
All those involved in getting us into our new home were very helpful and communicated well
The reps over promised and under delivered. I was charged fees for a concierge that did much of nothing. Also, the entire purchase as a FIRST TIME HOMEBUYER AND A DISABLED VETERAN was stressful and frustrating. I’m stuck with a home that should’ve been listed as ‘AS IS”. Highly disappointed. It’s been a month and I still can’t move in.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Robert,
I’m really sorry to hear how frustrating and overwhelming this has been for you. Buying your first home should feel exciting, and I can only imagine how discouraging it must be to feel like expectations were not met, especially as a disabled Veteran who trusted us to guide you through the process.
Hearing that you feel services were overpromised and underdelivered, including the concierge support, is concerning. You should always feel clear on what you’re receiving and why you’re being charged for it. I also understand how upsetting it must be to be dealing with home condition issues that are preventing you from moving in. While the VA appraisal focuses on determining value and meeting basic property requirements, it does not replace a full home inspection, and I’m sorry if any part of that process felt unclear or unsupported.
I would truly like the opportunity to review your experience and better understand what happened from start to finish. When you’re ready, please reach out to me directly at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re available 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday, and we respond the next business day to messages received after hours.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager

Hunter was absolutely beyond exceptional. I had a million questions along my 6 month process of looking into buying a property. He was extremely patient, attentive, and knowledgeable. If he didn’t have an answer he was honest and looked into it for me. I would absolutely recommend working with him if you ever have the chance. Hunter is the sole reason I stuck with veterans united during the process.
