VA United helped me out every step of the way. They were very helpful to me and my wife. We got through all our steps and asked all the questions we could.
Everyone we talked to really got us through the process as quickly as they could.
I never thought I would be in a home this fast and I am so happy.
Could not have done it without you all. Especially for my first time. Thank You all. So very much. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Best Christmas ever..
Veterans United are just awesome. I knew I could reach my loan officer at any time. Since my military career, and exiting and now a 100% disabled veteran, there's a reason I've used these guys 3 times now over the last decade. These guys and gals are just an absolute pleasure to work with. I'm so happy they helped me finalize on forever home.
Exceptional support from start to finish. James Walrod’s team answered
my questions and prompt to call back outside of banker hours. It was such a smooth process form the offer to contract negotiations to close.. I love the personal attention to each stage by explaining in detail what to expect, ensuring I took care of my to list and just stayed on top of the to do list.
The team worked well with me. Keeping me informed and helping me with the process! Was practically stress free.

The entire team made my buying a home possible! You are the best!
Had a great home buying experience with Veterans United. As this is my first home that I have purchased I would definitely recommend using VU for anyone's purchase!
I had an excellent experience working with my loan team at Veterans United. Throughout the entire process, they were consistently responsive, knowledgeable, and proactive in addressing any questions I had. The team checked in with me regularly and ensured that I fully understood each step of the transaction.
The online portal made document submission and communication seamless, and I also appreciated the additional resources they provided, including information on utilities and moving services. As a first-time homebuyer using a VA loan, their guidance and professionalism made the process straightforward and reassuring. I am very grateful for their support and would highly recommend Veterans United to other VA borrowers.

My Veterans United loan officer Greg went above and beyond the call of duty to assist me with the purchase of my new home. Immediately after applying for the loan, Greg reached out within 5 minutes and I was preapproved within 15. I realized his exceptional, meritorious service when he returned all calls as promised. He made countless calls to my finance company, insurance company, etc often holding in queque for an hour or more at times and continued to return calls each and every time as promised. He distinguished himself as an extremely skilled and accomplished professional. He continued to make contact with all necessary agencies until the promised closing date was met, which in my mind was record time of only 3 weeks. Because of Greg I will tell anyone looking to purchase a home with a quality loan company to look no further than Veterans United.
A lot of "one more things" that were discouraging and confusing. Very difficult dealing with all the docusignings: sent in signatures (or so we thought) that required resending. We felt VERY stressed through the process because, just as we thought we were finished, one more thing would come up. We had the feeling that VU did not want to okay our loan--which we plan to repay in full the minute our house in NH sells. If VU does not like to finance condos, you should make that clear from the beginning to enable the buyer to seek other finance options. On the plus side, EVERYONE we worked with was very kind, patient, helpful, and willing to work with us, for which we are very grateful. We LOVE our new home.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Paul,
Thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. I’m really sorry for how stressful and discouraging the process felt, especially with repeated “one more thing” requests and having to resend documents you believed were already completed. I understand how that can make it feel like the finish line keeps moving.
I’m also sorry that this led to the impression that we were hesitant to approve your loan. That’s never our intention, and I appreciate you sharing how that came across. Condo financing can involve additional review steps, and we should do a better job setting expectations earlier so the process feels clearer and less overwhelming.
I truly appreciate your kind words about our team, and I’m glad to hear you felt supported despite the challenges. Most importantly, congratulations on your new home. I love hearing that you’re happy there. If you’d like to talk through this further, our Client Advocate team is available at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
